මියගිය දරුවා අවිශ්ක සම්පත් විජේරත්න නම් අවුරුදු තුනහමාරක් වයසැති දරුවෙකි. ඊයේ (16) දහවල් සෙල්ලම් කරමින් සිටියදී දරුවා තම නිවස අසල ඉඩමක හාරා තිබූ වළකට වැටී ඇත.
දරුවා නිවසේ නොමැති බව දැනගත් දෙමාපියන් අසල්වැසියන්ගේ සහාය ඇතිව සොයා බැලීමේදී දරුවා වළේ වැටී සිටිනු දක්නට ලැබුණි.
පසුව දරුවා වහාම රෝහලට ගෙන ගිය නමුත් ඒ වන විටත් දරුවා මිය ගොස් සිටි බව පොලිසිය පවසයි.
මියගිය දරුවාගේ දේහය දැන් නෑගම්පහ රෝහලේ තැන්පත් කර ඇත.
දරුවාගේ හදිසි මරණය සම්බන්ධයෙන් ස්ථානීය මහේස්ත්‍රාත් පරීක්ෂණයක් පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත අතර, එය අද (17) කැකිරාව මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණය විසින් පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත බව වාර්තා වේ.
